Welcome to Energy Local Tiree

Energy Local Tiree is a community‑led co‑operative that enables you to source your electricity from (and contribute to) our locally generated renewable energy supply.

By matching local energy demand with local renewable generation, the club helps households and small businesses pay less for electricity while supporting a resilient, environmentally conscious energy network. Your participation benefits your pocket, your community, and the planet.

Membership Requirements

During our initial phase, membership is open to residential and business properties on the Isle of Tiree. Should demand exceed capacity, priority may be given to full‑time residents.

To Become a Member, You Must:

• Have a residential or business property located on the Isle of Tiree
• Have a smart meter, or be willing to have one installed.
• Be able to switch to our partner supplier, 100Green, either by being out of contract or by paying an exit fee if required by your current supplier.
• Be willing to accept a tariff with 100Green that may be higher than some domestic tariffs when locally generated power is not available.
