On Monday 3 November 2025, our founder Dr Mary Gillie joined BBC Radio 4’s You and Yours alongside Energy Local Bridport and Energy Local Bethesda.
Mary shared how Energy Local is helping communities take control of their energy use, making local renewable power work for local people. We’re now working with more than 30 communities across the UK, with 14 clubs already live and many more in development. Members have seen savings of 10–30% on their electricity bills, depending on the type of local generation and when they use power.
