About Energy Local Bridport
Our Club enables locally generated renewable energy from the Salway Ash wind turbine to be bought by local domestic consumers. The scheme covers the area supplied by the Bridport station, including the whole of Bridport town and the surrounding area from Chideock to Shipton Gorge, West Bay to Pymore, and parts of Salway Ash.
Energy Local Bridport went live in September 2021. There are now 50 member households active in the Club, and the Club is currently full.
Tariffs below are all excluding VAT at 5%.

The standing charge includes club membership and administration fees of 18.63p per day. See the Club Charges section below for details.

Initial Electricity Charges
The Flat Tariff applies for an initial period from when you switch to the new supplier until your premises has been added to the Club. If you don't have a smart meter you will be on the Flat Tariff until you have one installed and can be added to the Club (typically two months).

Club Membership Fee

This fee covers the running costs of the Club which may include printing, AGM and accounting costs.
Energy Local membership fee
£6.00 per year
This fee covers some of the admin costs for Energy Local to facilitate Clubs.
Total Membership Fee

Supplier Fee
£60.00 per year
This fee is charged by the supplier for administering each member of the club.
