We have seen a huge wave of support for the P441 modification for the creation of clearer rules for local energy markets!
The Elexon consultation closed on 14 November. Hopefully the UK is now a step closer to enabling more communities to feel the benefit of local renewables in their bills.
A *massive* thank you to everyone who took so much time and effort on what we know was a complex set of consultation questions.
As well as pushing forward P441, this response sends a strong message that our voices must be heard.

What happens now? There are still several steps to go...
- First, the consultation responses will go to the working group for a further vote.
- If successful, it goes to the Elexon Balancing and Settlement Code Panel.
- After that, it will hopefully be put out for a further consultation.
- Then, subject to Elexon's panel approval, the P441 modification will be passed to Ofgem who will make a final decision at some point in 2026.
