Club Status
We are in the process of setting up the club, and we are looking for people who may be interested in joining.

We are setting up a Local Energy Club linked to the Buchanan Community Hydro Society (BCHS).  

Households that join the club will benefit from cheaper electricity when the hydro is generating.  The hydro will also benefit from a higher energy price when club members are using the energy. As BCHS is a community benefit organisation, all profits go back into the community from an annual grant scheme.

Although we are initially setting up the club with BCHS, any generators within the area of the club can sell their energy into the club, and we are hoping to expand the club to include more solar and hydro generators in the future.

Initial Electricity Charges

The Flat Tariff applies for an initial period from when you switch to the new supplier until your premises has been added to the Club. If you don't have a smart meter you will be on the Flat Tariff until you have one installed and can be added to the Club (typically two months).
