Hook Norton Low Carbon Ltd (HNLC) has set up an Energy Local  Club in Hook Norton and Surrounding areas under the the Epwell primary substation with a grant from the Community Energy Fund using locally generated solar electricity. To join the club you will need to:

• be in the Epwell Electricity Substation area (including Hook Norton, Sibfords, Epwell and Wigginton - see map).
• be able to switch to 100Green energy company, (therefore be out of contract or willing to pay an exit fee to your present energy supplier, (if there is one).
• have a smart meter or be happy for one to be installed. (If you do not have one yet, please order one to be fitted by your present company ASAP, as you may have to wait a while for it to be installed).
• be able to shift some of your electricity demand to times in the day when the sun is shining and therefore, when there will be lots of extra energy.
• be prepared to accept a tariff with 100Green, which is higher at times than some standard domestic tariffs, when you are not using locally generated electricity.
