Energy Local Crickhowell will enable locally generated renewable electricity to be used by local domestic consumers to the benefit of generator and consumer. The scheme covers the area supplied from the distribution substation in Crickhowell which includes Cwm Du, Tretower, parts of Llangynidr, Crickhowell, Llangattock (including Ffawydogg and Hillside), Llanbedr, and parts of Llangenny and Glangrwyney. The generators will be drawn from the same area and will include the scheme operated by Llangattock Green Valleys at Cwm Gu as well as privately operated schemes.

The match tariff changed from 7.5p per kilowatt-hour at anytime on the 1st of August 2021. The new match tariff is 10p per kilowatt-hour from 7am to 8pm and 8p per kilowatt-hour from 8pm to 7am. These rates do not include VAT.
The price change was due to increases in the contract tariff offered to the generator due to the inflated market prices of energy.
