Killington

**Energy Local Killington is now taking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from households in the Club area. We don't yet have details regarding what the tariffs will be but the average household can expect to save 10-20% on their electricity bills. If you are interested in joining Energy Local Killington, please click the button at the bottom of this page and complete the form. Once we know the tariffs we will invite you to complete your details which will enable us to begin the switching process. Please note that completing an EOI does not commit you to joining Energy Local.
Killington and District Sustainable Energy Trust (K-SET) set up Rainepower, identified a low head site on a weir in the river Lune and raised an impressive £440000 in 2015 to install a 36kW Hydro. In creating an Energy Local Club, the power generated by the hydro will directly benefit the community by reducing electricity costs through the Match Tariff. The Match Tariff is a price agreed by the Club for members to pay for the power generated by the hydro, when they use power at the same time as it's being produced locally.
